Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Onion Build collects through onionbuild.com, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: I only collect what you send me through the contact form or newsletter signup, I use it only to reply to you or send the newsletter, and I don't sell it or use it for advertising.

Who I am

onionbuild.com is operated by TatamiStudios LLC ("Onion Build", "I", "me"), based in West Michigan, Michigan, USA. Questions about this policy or your information go through the contact page.

What I collect

Information you give me

• Contact form: the topic you choose, your name, email address, company (optional) and your message.
• Newsletter signup: your email address, where on the site you signed up, and when.

Information collected automatically

• Security and abuse prevention: when you submit a form, your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated submissions, and an automated check confirms the request comes from a person rather than a bot. That check uses only the browser signals it needs. It doesn't read your form entries and isn't used for advertising.
• Server logs: like any website, the hosting provider records basic technical details of requests (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for a short time and aren't used to build profiles of visitors.

The site does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking, and it doesn't set cookies to follow you around the web.

How I use it

• To read and reply to your message.
• To send the newsletter if you subscribed. Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.
• To meet legal obligations, if any apply.

Who it's shared with

I don't sell, rent or trade your information, and I don't share it for advertising. It's handled only by service providers that help run the site, such as website hosting, data storage, email delivery and spam protection. They may use it only to provide those services to me.

I may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of TatamiStudios LLC or others.

How long I keep it

• Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for normal business records, then deleted.
• Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, your address is kept only as "unsubscribed" so you're never emailed again by mistake. Ask me and I'll delete it entirely.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
• Access, correct or delete your information by asking through the contact page. I'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and I'll honor them.

Do Not Track

Because this site doesn't track visitors across other websites, it doesn't change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. There's nothing to turn off.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, stored data is encrypted, and access to it is limited to me. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This site is meant for adults and businesses. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I'll delete it.

Where your information is processed

Your information is processed in the United States and may be handled by my service providers in other countries. By using the site, you understand your information may be handled outside your home country.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the newsletter.
